These places are worth visiting at least once in a lifetime: Part II

This is the second part of the article where we continue to share incredible places in different parts of the world. We hope we inspire you to travel!

The city of San Gimignano in Italy

Previously, San Gimignano was called "the city of a hundred towers", but, alas, only 14 have survived to this day. But there are many other medieval buildings that are included in the UNESCO World Heritage List! Usually, tourists who travel around Tuscany come here. San Gimignano is cozy all year round: in summer and autumn it is very warm (if not hot), and in winter and spring it is a little cool and very comfortable.

Lavender Fields, Provence in France

Thousands of tourists come to Provence to take pictures in the lavender fields. Not only is it beautiful here, but there is also an incredible aroma! In the cities nearby, there are many shops selling all kinds of souvenirs and goods with lavender. Usually, this plant blooms from June to August, but it is better to track the flowering period on special resources.

Cinque Terre National Park in Italy

"Cinque Terre" translates as "five lands", because this is how many settlements are here. Small multi-colored houses that stand tightly to each other, look like toys, vineyards grow in the park, beaches of incredible beauty stretch, churches, chapels and monasteries stand proudly and modestly. In summer, anyone can swim in the azure water, and in winter they can walk among cozy houses.

Keukenhof Garden in the Netherlands

The garden, which occupies 30 hectares, grows tulips of many varieties and colors, there are also lakes and plants. In the spring, thousands of tourists come here to admire the tulips and attend the annual flower festival, during which floats with huge figures that are decorated with various plants and flowers drive around the city. In 2025, it will be held on April 12.

The Keukenhof Garden is only open to the public for a few months of the year: in 2025, it will be open from March 20 to May 11.

Geirangerfjord in Norway

The Geirangerfjord and the nearby Nærøyfjord are a UNESCO World Heritage Site. It is better to come here in the summer to fish, ride a boat or kayak. The curious will especially like the museum dedicated to the fjord.

The city of Bonifacio in France

Bonifacio is divided into two parts - upper and lower, and they are connected by the famous Aragonese Stairs, carved into the rock. In the upper part of the city there are the main attractions of the city, and in the lower part there is a harbor and a beautiful promenade. In the vicinity of Bonifacio there are ancient chapels, castles and much more. It is worth not only walking around the city, but also taking a boat ride along the coast.

Monasteries of Meteora in Greece

On the top of the rocks rise unusual Orthodox monasteries, which were built here in the XIV century, although the monks settled here much earlier. Previously, there were 20 buildings, but only six have survived to this day.

It will appeal not only to religious people, but also to those who love unusual architecture and incredibly beautiful nature.

To visit the temples, it is worth observing the dress code.

Hallerbos Forest in Belgium

This forest is more like a cartoon one: fields of hyacinths, tall trees with a spreading crown and bright green grass. Anyone can see rabbits, deer and other forest dwellers here. If you want to come here, and you should do it in mid or late spring, then you need to remember that you cannot pick hyacinths here - this is the law.

Monte Carlo in Monaco

You should definitely visit this luxurious city to feel like a real rich man! Take a walk along the promenade, walk along the Formula 1 track, and then have lunch at a restaurant or a local café. Even if you have a limited budget, do not be upset, because, surprisingly, you can relax here on a budget (especially if you stay just for a couple of days...).

The village of Hallstatt in Austria

It is worth coming here for those who are tired of noisy metropolises. There are many small houses in the town, which stand on the shore of the lake, and they are surrounded by mountains. The population is only a thousand people, so everyone knows each other here. Come to the village in the summer to soak up the lake, and in the winter you can go to the ski resort.
