The most cheapest and the most expensive cities in the United States of America

The most cheapest and the most expensive cities in the United States of America

The cost of living comfortably in America is highly dependent on the city. Food, insurance, telephone and internet, gasoline, housing, entertainment, clothing in different cities and states cost differently. Visitors always strive for a higher standard of living and are not always ready for big expenses, and therefore it is recommended to carefully study the pricing policy in a particular city in advance.

San Francisco

In San Francisco, as in Los Angeles, there are many large corporations, world celebrities and millionaires live.

If we consider San Francisco as a city for living, then it is necessary to take into account that housing here is more expensive by more than 90% in comparison with the whole of America! Products here are also higher by 15.8%, transportation costs will have to be increased by 30%. Of course, this does not stop many, because if you compare with the level of income, then everything is not so terrible.

Tourists also will not bypass the high level of prices. A hotel room per day will cost about $ 200, the average bill in ordinary coffee is $ 15, and if you buy food yourself and cook for one person, an average of $ 25-30 will come out. But despite the expensive accommodation and meals, there are plenty of free activities.

In Washington, the median salary is $80,000 a year. Although the prices of products are not much different from neighboring cities, Maryland and Virginia, but going to a restaurant will make you leave a fairly large amount of money.

For people living in Washington, it is customary to spend on renting an apartment from 2500 to 5000 dollars, and sometimes more. This cost includes renting an apartment and utility costs: mainly electricity, gas and water. But the Internet, mobile communications and additional packages of TV channels cost Washington residents about $ 200-300.

For tourists, too, it is necessary to carefully study the pricing policy of Washington. Accommodation in a 3-star hotel will cost an average of $ 250 for 1 night, but in a 4-star hotel you will need to pay about $ 320. Of course, many people dream of checking into large or famous hotels, but the cost of the simplest room in a 5-star hotel will be about $ 550 for 1 night. Average prices for taxis and public transport in Washington are also not the cheapest: the average check for a taxi will be $ 14, and a trip on public transport - $ 3.

Memphis is located in North America. For a comfortable life, you will not need to have a large amount of money in the account, as in many other cities. Because of the low rent and inexpensive utility costs, you can comfortably live with an average salary of $ 50,000 . The average bill in a cafe will be only $ 10-13: many products in stores here are much lower than washington or San Francisco.

Tourism in Memphis is mostly built on music, with many historic buildings, museums, and theaters dedicated to U.S. musical culture. The pricing policy of hotels here is also not very greedy. A hotel room for 1 night on average will cost $ 130-160, but renting an apartment - from $ 78 for 1 night.

Indianapolis is perhaps America's largest budget city. Here, relatively low prices and advantages of megacities harmoniously exist with each other. Locals can get a good education here with reasonable fees, get a good job — and, most importantly, Indianapolis's economy is stable compared to other U.S. cities.

Tourists also like to come here, because 1 night in a good hotel will cost tired travelers only $ 100. The average check in a restaurant is about $ 12-14, and 1 kilometer by taxi will cost you $ 1.20.

The opportunity to get acquainted with the cultural component of the city is huge: there are interesting museums, picturesque parks, botanical gardens with unique plants and the War Memorial Plaza memorial complex.
