St. Petersburg State Maritime Technical University (SPbSMTU) is a technical Russian university that trains mainly marine engineers. Unofficially, students and teachers awarded the university the nickname "Shipbuilder".
This institution is the only one in the country where world-class specialists are trained in the design, operation and construction of ships, warships, submarines at three faculties.
