STEM Summer

The summer program, aimed at students in grades 7-9, invites students to immerse themselves in the study of science and technology, engineering and medicine — that is, STEM fields. For 1-2 weeks, students attend exciting classes, often conducted by professional engineers, doctors, and technicians, to gain valuable knowledge and applied skills in sought-after scientific fields. The one-week course is considered basic and will provide a basic understanding of STEM fields, but the two-week program will allow you to gain deeper experience through working in specialized laboratories and creating complex projects.

Classes cover the following areas:

  • Biotechnologies — research in the field of microbiology, DNA, and human biology under the supervision of a doctor, a biologist with a Ph.D.,
  • Aviation technologies — seminars on what airplanes are made of and how they fly, practical exercises on flight simulators,
  • New technologies in engineering — work in a computer classroom with the opportunity to immerse yourself in programming, prototyping applications, and try 3D printing,
  • Engineering and robotics are collective and individual projects that reveal creative possibilities through the construction of structures, programming robots and drones.

During extracurricular hours, students participate in various activities on and off campus, getting to know each other and exploring the beauty of their surroundings: nature, architecture, and landmarks.

Golf Summer

The seasonal sports golf program is an eight—week course with classes one day a week, offering the opportunity to choose the number of weeks of training and the time of their implementation according to their abilities and wishes. Classes are held in two time intervals: from 8:00-9:30 or 10:00-11:30. Under the guidance of experienced instructors, students develop physical and gaming abilities, focusing on the following areas, each of which is allocated one week.:

  • Introduction to the basics of golf — learning the grip, stance and posture that contribute to a good game, familiarization with the inventory,
  • Basics of the game: swing mechanics, downward stroke, finishing movement,
  • Short game skills — development of short-range game skills,

  • Driving, range — exercises focused on the generation of force, its calculation and the correctness of the technique of submission,
  • Special strikes in difficult conditions — training on ascent, descent, slope,
  • Strategy, assessment of the playing position on the field,
  • A test of skills with a question-and-answer session.

Soccer Summer Camps

The three—day summer camp dedicated to football conducts two programs - boys and girls study separately so that each of the students can achieve effective improvement of their abilities in a supportive atmosphere.

The student schedule will consist of the following activities:

The students' curriculum includes classes in such scientific fields as:

The Shattuck Ct Mary's School Hockey Seasonal Camps run two programs, separating boys and girls to achieve better progress and comfort during their studies. Each day of the summer program student stipulates three training sessions: morning, afternoon and evening. They are conducted by qualified coaches with many years of experience in both teaching and competitive sports on ice/grass.

Students' training sessions do not always take place in the ski arena. The program includes physical training in the gym, seminars on video analysis of tactics and techniques, exercises to develop psychological skills, and much more.

For the duration of their studies, students either stay in residence and receive balanced three meals a day (you can attend the summer program only in the daytime format).

Shattuck St Mary's School is a well-known American boarding school. The school was founded in 1858 as the Episcopal Missionary School (worked primarily as a military academy), and its current name - Shattuck St Mary's School - was received already in 1864 in honor of the Boston philanthropist and philanthropist. George Cheyne Shattuck. Around the same years, in the town of Faribo, where the campus is now located, a women's school began its work. Mary's Hall James School, and in 1972 they were all merged into a single institution, and received the name Shattuck St Mary's School.
