A preparatory program is designed for students (mostly foreign students) who are not qualified enough for a two-year IB, who need to improve their academic and language skills.
The duration of the course can be from 6 to 12 months: it depends on the degree of initial readiness of the student, his perseverance and abilities, intellectual level. The composition of the preparatory program is almost the same as that of the classical IB: 6 subjects for study (3 at the standard level of complexity and 3 at the in-depth level), active sports, creativity and extracurricular activities. Discipline of the TOK (general theory of knowledge), CAS (Creativity, Service, Activity) and classes on writing an essay or preparing a research project are included in the Pre-IB program.
The traditional British program of preparation for universities is the "golden standard" for studying high school students. All over the world, the A-level certificate with high scores (such as the grades for examinations from A * to B) is valued so highly that it gives the right to enter even the most elite and prestigious universities without additional examinations and entrance tests.
