Studying in high school at Long Bay College is aimed at preparing students for the mandatory certification exams and three-level preparation for the National Certificate of Educational Achievement (NCEA) exams for admission to university.

Therefore, grade 11 ends with a certificate of secondary education from the New Zealand sample School Certificate (1st level). In grade 12, students take exams to receive a Sixth Form Certificate document (2nd level). In the 13th grade, young people take final examinations, the results of which can already get into New Zealand universities (3rd level).
