A new educational network has emerged in the United Kingdom, uniting schools with a shared philosophy while preserving their individuality. At the heart of the project is Sedbergh School, one of the oldest schools in the country, founded back in 1525. Around it, the Sedbergh Schools Group has formed — a new association of educational institutions operating as a charitable organization. The group already includes various educational projects: from children's programs and preparatory schools to international campuses and summer courses.
But the key idea lies not in scale, but in approach. The aim is not to make all schools alike — on the contrary, each one retains its own atmosphere, values and teaching style. At the same time, members gain access to shared resources, management expertise and investment, helping them grow sustainably and confidently. The first school to join the group after its launch was Terrington Hall.
It is also worth noting that since the Sedbergh Schools Group operates as a charitable structure, all profits are reinvested back — into education, infrastructure, scholarships and student development.
The Group has already announced plans to expand and is inviting schools that share these values to collaborate.
