The Moscow Academy of Finance and Law was established in 1995 with the support of the Moscow Government and the Association for International Education.

In 2010, IFLA received the status of a university.

The University has implemented a system of continuous multi-level education "college - university - postgraduate - advanced training".

The structure of the educational process consists of the following main elements:

Scientific achievements

IfLA students are actively involved in the research activities of the university.

The university has established scientific schools in various areas.

IFLA acts as an organizer (co-organizer) of international and all-Russian scientific and scientific-practical events, and is also a platform for their holding.

IFLA publishes the scientific journal "Bulletin of the Moscow University of Finance and Law of MFUA", which is included in the List of Russian peer-reviewed scientific journals in which the main scientific results of dissertations for the degrees of Doctor and Candidate of Sciences should be published.

Things to know about

The total number of scientific and pedagogical workers of the IFLA is 749 people, of which 94% have academic degrees and (or) academic titles, including doctors of science - 71 people, candidates of science - 637 people. The share of full-time teachers is more than 70%.

Since 2003, IFLA has been ranked 1st in the Russian ranking among accredited non-state universities. 

Accommodation, meals, prices

MFUA does not have dormitories.

In each educational building of the university there are catering points: canteens, buffets, cafes. The total area of the points is 1080 sq. m. 

Activities Moscow University of Finance and Law, MFUA

IFLA expands the educational space of the institution, actively using the socio-cultural resources of Moscow, attracting representatives of the scientific and professional communities of the city, organizations that are social partners of the University. 

The most popular phenomenon among university students is the KVN movement. The KVN team "MFUA Team" is a member of the Premier League.

The University takes an active part in the projects of the Department of Education of the City of Moscow "Professional Environment" and "University Saturdays".

IFLA with the support of the Department of Culture of Moscow and the Department of Media and Advertising of Moscow became the organizer of the ART festival. START.

With the support of the Moscow Government, the MFUA Student Parliamentary Club implements the following projects:

  • Young Lawmaker's School,
  • "Business Games",
  • "One day with a deputy",
  • Debate League,
  • "Management duels",
  • "Not surprising critics",

On the basis of the sports club "Altair" there is a fitness academy, a sports hall, a climbing wall, a gym, choreographic machines, sections for basketball, volleyball, football, tennis, chess, dancing and cheerleading. Since 2019, the club has been actively developing the eSports direction. 

The School of Curators is an annual project consisting in teaching students the position of curator, adapting freshmen.

In the creative studio "Patriots of the MFUA" everyone can learn to play musical instruments and apply their talent in several directions at once: percussion and wind ensemble, group "VIA", vocals, choir. 

The university has a volunteer center of the MFUA "People of Good Will".

On the basis of the MFUA, the Headquarters of the MFUA detachments is successfully working: the construction team, the pedagogical detachments "Sphere" and "Dobro".

On the basis of the MFUA, the Media Center and the media "MFUA TV", "Financial and Legal Clinic" and thematic clubs are constantly working: 

  • Disputation club with a discussion platform; 
  • "Winged Word"; 
  • "City of Masters"; 
  • "School of Young Guide"; 
  • A platform for lovers of cinema, music.

Students of the university actively participate in the city patriotic actions: "Memory Watch", "Immortal Regiment", "City of Lilacs", "Childhood Day" and others.

Within the walls of the university buildings, the following events are held: 

  • Photo gallery "They are alive as long as we remember", dedicated to the heroes of the Great Patriotic War;
  • Patriotic contest of reciters "We talk about war in verse";
  • Christmas readings. 

Every year students take part in all-Russian schools of personal growth and development of student self-government: "Progress", "Leader of the XXI century", "Steps" and others.

Facilities and equipment at Moscow University of Finance and Law, MFUA

IFLA conducts educational activities in 10 educational campuses and 5 branches. The infrastructure of the university includes educational and laboratory buildings, libraries, a printing house, canteens, medical centers, sports halls and other educational and auxiliary premises. 

The educational and laboratory base of the university has the necessary number of classrooms equipped with modern technical means: computer classes, multimedia flow classrooms, specialized classrooms and laboratories, modern training grounds, a technopark equipped with modern equipment. All computers in the cases are combined into a single local network.

On the territory of the university there is a wireless WI-FI network, there are jammers for cell phone signals used during the testing period, as well as a video surveillance system for the educational process. 

In 2018, the Technopark "Naukograd" began to work at the MFUA. The Technopark includes a media hall, laboratories of robotics, graphic design, VR & AR information technologies, architecture and geoinformatics, programming and video production. 

The Museum "Development of Science and Technology" has a permanent exhibition demonstrating technical progress from the beginning of the XIX century to the present time. 

The sports complex of the university includes sports and gyms, a stadium, specialized classrooms for adaptive physical culture. The total area of indoor sports facilities is 15,858 square meters. 

On the territory of the educational building of Vvedenskogo Street, 1a there are sports grounds and a volleyball and basketball court. 

IFLA has a library staffed with printed editions of the main and additional literature. The structure of the library includes 7 service departments with reading rooms and a reference and information department. In total, there are 38 seats in the reading rooms. 

In the structure of the MFUA in all educational buildings there is a medical unit, which consists of a pediatrician's office (paramedic) and a treatment room.

The Educational Museum and Exhibition Center of the MFUA unites the Art Museum "Noble Assembly", the Student Church of the "Introduction to the Church of the Blessed Virgin Mary", the Museum of the History of Foreign Intelligence, the Museum of the Battle of Moscow of 1941-1942 and the Art Gallery of Modern Art.

Admission dates and extra charges

The school year begins on September 1 and ends in accordance with the curriculum of the relevant educational program. The total duration of the holidays during the school year is from 2 to 10 weeks.

In addition to tuition fees, additional expenses for university students may include: accommodation (for non-residents), travel and food expenses, leisure and other expenses.

Enrolment process

Applicants for admission to the university submit to the admission committee an application in Russian language with the following documents attached: 

  • passport;
  • SNILS;
  • a document on current education;
  • 4 matte photos 3x4.

Documents made in a foreign language must be translated into Russian.

Documents can be submitted in person, by mail or in electronic form, as well as through EPGU.

Entrance tests in the IFUA are conducted remotely.

Enrolment statistics

The total number of students of the higher level leaves 15687 people, studying in educational programs of vocational education - 8729 people.

Perspectives

IFLA has formed a system to promote the employment of students and graduates. In accordance with the concluded agreements on joint activities in the field of training qualified personnel, students undergo practice in organizations and enterprises, of which there are more than 400 organizations. The demand for graduates as a whole is about 75%. 

IFUA cooperates with the Employment Center of the City of Moscow on the program of employment of graduates "First Job!".

The following requirements apply to applicants to study at ifALC under higher education programs:

  • Completed secondary general education (11 grades), secondary vocational or higher education;
  • Successful completion of entrance examinations;
  • Results of the Unified State Exam.

It may not be the most convenient location, but it is comfortable to study here, the teachers are normal adequate, the cost of payment is not very high. I study at the 3rd year of MFUA on the economic profile. In general, everything suits you, but there are some drawbacks. The training program is intense.
