Moscow Automobile and Road State Technical University (MADI) is a technical university and research center in the field of construction, automotive industry, transport. MadI campus is two dormitories for nonresident students. Students live for several people in a room, share bathrooms, toilets, kitchens, living rooms.

MADI students actively participate in the extracurricular life of the university. One of the most popular competitions are "Formula Student", where students independently create, manufacture and design racing cars. In 2006, the team defending the honor of the university participated in the Formula Student Germany World Championship on the Formula 1 track. Virtual firms-customers pre-order the manufacture of thousands of racing cars according to the regulations, and student teams compete with each other for the best performance.
Competitions to create a new energy structure of the car "Formula Hybrid" are also popular among students. Engineers create new machines with increased fuel efficiency, improved technical characteristics. In 2008, the university team won the competition, ahead of 7 European teams. In 2009, the car created by the university team took part in the world championship in the USA - New Hampshire Motor Speedway, taking 16th place among 32. In 2011, the team won the Italian stage thanks to its Colibri car.
