Mikkeli University of Applied Sciences (MAMK) is a higher education institution of applied sciences, founded in January 2017 in Finland through the merger of two well-known universities Kymenlaakso University and Mikkeli University. The Finnish Center for Educational Assessment conducted an audit of both universities in 2012 compared to 2013 and awarded institutions with a quality mark.
MAMK presents 27 programs for obtaining a master's degree and 62 programs for obtaining a bachelor's degree in eight areas of study. The university is involved in research and development, provides services to enterprises and residents of the region.
Educational system complies with European principles of quality assurance and recommendations for higher education institutions in accordance with the standards and guidelines for quality assurance in the European Higher Education Area (ESG).
