Manipal University

Manipal University (abbreviated as MU ) is a non-profit private higher education institution that has been active in scientific and academic work in India since the beginning of the distant 1993. Currently, the University of MU has a small campus at its disposal.

• Faculty of Health Sciences — allied health sciences, biotherapy, dentistry, integrative medicine, life sciences, medicine, nursing, pharmacy, public health, regenerative medicine, virology.

The university includes the Manipal Institute of Technology (MIT) in Manipal and Bangalore, Kasturba Medical College, a college of nursing, a school of public health, Manipal Law School, TA Pai Management Institute, the Welcomgroup Graduate School of Hotel Administration, and other units. Bachelor's, master's, specialist, doctoral (PhD), integrated programs, diplomas, and internships are available.

MAHE has held the status of deemed-to-be university since 1993, and has also been awarded the Institute of Eminence status, conferred by the Ministry of Human Resource Development of the Government of India.

According to The Week magazine rankings (June 2014), the institution ranked 1st among private universities in research potential, received an AAA+ rating among the leading private universities of India, and also ranked 5th among the best private universities in the country and 2nd among the best private medical colleges.
