The well-known American school-board of mixed learning Loomis Chaffee is designed to teach children from 12 to 18 years - both Americans and foreign students. It is located in Connecticut, Windsor, and occupies a vast, well-equipped campus. A total of about 670 students study there: they are representatives of 29 American states and 32 world countries.
There are no more than 12 people in each classroom: this allows teachers to practice an individual approach, giving each student maximum personal attention. The main priority of the school is the comprehensive, integrated development of each child as a unique personality: preparing him for higher education, developing intellectual and analytical skills, critical thinking, perseverance and ambition. A rich extra-curricular program and an international atmosphere helps schoolchildren to grow in comfortable conditions, to cultivate tolerance and mutual respect.
Summer academic courses at Loomis Chaffee are distinguished by a variety of curriculum: not only intensive English lessons and classes in basic academic subjects of the school curriculum are planned, but fascinating optional courses, among which every schoolboy can find a job for himself:
All classes are conducted in small classroom, with experienced, qualified teachers, certified to work with foreign students and international groups.
There are two main versions of the program:
Both versions of the course provide for an active study of 1 basic and 1 optional subject, as well as academic writing. Students are engaged in classes, laboratories (combined theoretical and practical classes), regularly receive homework: each lesson lasts 75 minutes (on Wednesdays - 45 minutes). The flexibility of the curriculum allows you to create the most effective schedule of work personally for you, to tailor the course to your personal and academic needs.

Varieties of the written English program:
Many students choose an intensive course in geometry - this is a full year program that allows you to get a full academic credit in this direction. During the 5-week course, students will be able to finish the subject "Algebra-1": classes are conducted almost all day long, so do not give the opportunity to choose other disciplines (both basic and optional). However, students of this intensive course will have the opportunity to attend all leisure and entertainment activities, as well as a preparatory course for SAT / SSAT.
The educational program is developed and taught in conjunction with Princeton Review: this is a very effective course for those who plan to pass the SAT and SSAT exams on high scores before entering American schools, colleges and universities. Students will study the specifics and subtleties of these exams, the structure of each of its blocks, typical difficulties and mistakes: it will help to remove the psychological barrier and prepare for any surprises, any tasks.
In addition to intensive preparatory classes, the students will pass two trial tests (access to the Princeton Review Online Student Center). So the students will be able to identify and quickly correct their knowledge gaps, to pay more attention to the most difficult tasks and parts, to receive valuable recommendations and advice from teachers on further preparation.
All summer program students are accommodated in the campus's comfortable residences. Each room is designed for 1-2 people, fully furnished and equipped with the necessary equipment. Each residence includes a cozy common living room with TV, refrigerator and mini-kitchen - you can prepare something for a snack, a cup of tea or coffee. Free Wi-Fi is available.
