The university was founded in 1977 in the city of Krasnodar.

The learning process includes a course of lectures and seminars, practical classes, and professional practice.

The educational process takes place in 24 buildings equipped with classrooms for lectures and seminars. The classrooms are equipped with modern technology: screens, projectors, electronic boards and computers. For practical training, the university has a forensic testing ground, which includes:

For admission to the KrU of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, you must provide:

• Proof of identity, citizenship,
• State-recognized certificate of education and qualifications,
• SNILS,
• A copy of the compulsory medical insurance policy,
• Reference 086-U,
• 6 photos 3x4,
• Reference from a school or other educational institution (or from the place of service).

If necessary, the applicant also provides:

• Confirmation of individual achievements, the results of which are taken into account at admission,

After graduating from the university, graduates become certified specialists, ready to work in the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Russian Federation.

For admission to bachelor's and specialist's educational programs, an applicant must:

• Points received for the exam are not lower than:

  • Social Studies — 42.

For admission to postgraduate programs, you must:

• Successful completion of entrance examinations with scores not lower than:

  • Philosophy — 50,
  • Foreign language — 50.

First-year cadets are paid a monetary allowance of 7834 rubles. Further, the amount of payments depends on the progress and activity of the student. Once a year, cadets are entitled to financial assistance for vacation leave in the amount of 13,860 rubles.
