Kuban State Medical University (KubSMU) is a higher educational institution of medical profile. The basis of KubSMU was the Medical Faculty of the Kuban State University, opened in 1920. This faculty became a separate institution a year later. During the Great Patriotic War, the educational campus was evacuated to Yerevan and Tyumen, and teachers and students were sent to the combat zone. In the next decades, specialized faculties were opened, a large clinical base was collected.
