Foreign students poured into the UK again

The British education sector is jubilant: after a difficult 2024, the demand for studying at local universities and colleges is returning to its usual growth: for example, in the first half of January, foreign applicants submitted 27% more applications than last year, and the number of positive letters from universities increased by 14%.  More than 40 thousand applications were submitted by foreign applicants in the first two weeks of January to British universities, about 30% of applicants accepted offers from universities and colleges in the UK, which were sent to them in response by the admissions committees of universities.

In January 2025, the number of admitted foreign students from India increased the most - by 11% and Pakistan - by 91%.
