Fleming College was founded in 1967. The educational institution got its name in honour of Sir Sandford Fleming, a Scottish engineer and inventor who became widely known thanks to the concept of universal standard time. The college has an applied and technical focus. Today, about 7,000 full-time students and about 10,000 full-time students study here.
