Ellesmere College is a private school that follows the traditions of English public schools and is part of the large Woodward educational network along with more than 20 institutions from across the UK. Ellesmere College was originally founded as an educational institution for boys, which opened in 1879. A few years later, the school came under the auspices of the Anglican Church, reopening its doors in 1884.

Today it is a secular co-educational school that provides effective and balanced curricula for students aged 7-18 years: relations with the Anglican Church are still warm and close, but now children of any denomination and religion are accepted.

Ellesmere College is part of the Woodard Corporation, Britain's largest private boarding school association, and was founded by the legendary Nathaniel Woodard.

Neurological studies have shown that there is no fixed level of ability among young learners, that the brain is more malleable than previously thought. HPL provides a learning style that removes barriers to achievement, empowering children to develop at their own pace.

Ellesmere has several academic departments, each focused on teaching students of a specific age: elementary, middle and high school, the Sixth Form preparation department .

For Ellesmere College students who prefer boarding school, 6 comfortable residence halls have been prepared (4 separate houses for boys and 2 houses for girls, and the age criteria is also taken into account when settling - children under 12 live in a separate house). The rooms are comfortable, fully equipped with necessary furniture and household appliances, each residence has a common living room for relaxation, quiet classrooms for self-study and homework with the necessary educational equipment.

Students have boarding meals, three meals a day – a spacious common living room has been built for this purpose. Upon prior request, a dietary or vegetarian diet can be arranged, as well as meals that comply with medical (allergy) or religious regulations.

A nurse is constantly  on campus, and a professional doctor from the nearest clinic is on duty at the school three times a week.

As for the admission requirements, they logically vary depending on the chosen programs:

• Elementary classes (7-9 years): personal interview at school with representatives of the teaching staff or the admissions office;
