Chongqing University(CQU)is a key national university in China under the Ministry of Education.CQU is one of the Double FirstClassA universities,a participant of the "211" and "985" projects.
Founded in 1929, Chongqing University has experienced many ups and downs. After surviving the war with Japan, in 1942CQUbecame a national comprehensive university based on six colleges. Currently, there are 28 schools, graduate schools, three colleges.
Among the programs are:

Chongqing University provides accommodation for students according to campuses.
Lanyuan Building No. 6 on the Houthi Campus: All international undergraduate students (except students from the School of Architecture and Urban Planning, Meishi Film School).
For other students, rooms are available in the following dormitories:
International apartment Songlinpo (price per year):
- Single rooms – 8500 yuan
- Double rooms – 4750 yuan.
Xuelin International Student Residence on Campus A:
- Single rooms – 10 000 yuan
- Double rooms – 5000 yuan.
Six House Orchid Garden:

Each student must pay a prepayment of 500 yuan. The buildings have:

Activities Chongqing University
The most active option for students are sports activities. CQU has a huge number of thematic zones for different sports: fitness, swimming, climbing, team games, etc. The university has several sports teams participating in interuniversity competitions.

Semesters at CQU:

Exams are held in January and July. Classes start daily at 7:30 a.m.
