California State University San Bernardino (abbreviated as CSUSB) is an educational institution of the state type that has been active in scientific and economic activities since the distant 1960 in America. Now the university has a very good location within the borders of San Bernardino.

It is the university of sufficiently large size, where about 24,000 people take a course each year. Every year both local students and foreign students apply for places at the university. The teaching staff of the institution is about 2500 teachers of the highest category. During the study period, students have the opportunity to apply and take part in one of the exchange programs.

A wide range of additional services are available to students that affect success in learning and extracurricular development. Specialized departments offer additional classes in subjects, mentoring and tutoring, language support, services for applying for financing, finding housing and many other issues.

CSUSB has six specialized colleges:

CSUSB has the R2 classification: "High Research Activity", which confirms the commitment to positive changes in the quality of life of the international community. Researchers, subject specialists and students of all faculties participate in a variety of research topics: from innovations in the field of education, the study of business models to ways to support the environment, research in the field of psychological state.

Students are accommodated in several university villages on and near campus. Residential buildings include shared apartments of several formats:

• Four bedrooms and two bathrooms,
• Two bedrooms, one or two bathrooms,
• Four bedrooms, four bathrooms,
• Single studios with bathroom.

All apartments have a well-equipped kitchen, living room.

One of the three villages offers a choice of single  or double occupancy in a room, while the rest of the residential communities provide only single occupancy in a bedroom. Accommodation fees include room rent, utilities (electricity, water, heating, air conditioning, garbage collection and recycling), Wi-Fi, use of all public and learning facilities, academic support, and free social activities.

Students can apply for a meal plan for a semester or school year: it includes a certain number of meals, additional dollars for purchases in stores and cafeterias on campus.

CSUSB actively supports many extracurricular areas of interest of its pupils, offering sports sections at the amateur and more professional levels, the work of thematic communities, creative teams.

Sport occupies an important place in the life of students. Teams compete among the state's universities, earning group and individual awards by adorning portfolios. Girls and boys train separately, developing their skills in the following sports:

• Cheerleading.

At the amateur level, the same sections are available, and in addition to them, swimming, fitness center classes, pinkball, badminton and many other activities. Off-campus, students can enjoy exciting mountain hiking, cycling, camping, mountaineering and kayaking experiences, rafting tours, and more. The equipment necessary for comfort and safety during the trips is provided by the university.

The theater faculty, fine arts and needlework studios, music and vocal rooms provide students with the best conditions for the development of creative talent. Performing solo or as part of a team, students independently organize various holidays and events, participate in campus events as theater actors, singers and musicians, dancers, editors and sound engineers.

Thematic communities created by students themselves reflect the diversity of hobbies, hobbies and interests of the student community. From handicrafts and cooking, supporting African students and Christianity, to a love of video games, ecology, volunteering, there is sure to be a club for everyone on campus.

The last few years the university consistently occupies one of the highest positions in the ranking of the TOP universities in the world.

At the disposal of the university is a large library. This institution of higher education provides students with access to the library. In addition, visitors can rely on affordable housing in the hostel. Also important is the fact that the university is constantly evolving and willingly sharing its experience. The academic calendar consists of several semesters, covering almost the entire year. Students attend classes on weekdays, rest on weekends, national and international holidays, during seasonal holidays. Between semesters, there are short sessions where students can test their level of knowledge.
