The Institute offers accommodation in two separate buildings: Chouinard Hall for undergraduate students of 1.2 courses, Ahmanson Hall for 3-4 year students, masters. Enrolled students are eligible to apply for on-campus housing - CalArts accommodates the maximum number of students who need to be enrolled.
Renovated in 2015, Steve's Café provides students, faculty, staff with a wide variety of dining options, seating arrangements, cozy spaces, group tables - all of which make the cafe the center of the campus. This is a reimagined space where teachers, staff, students meet, eat, communicate.
CalArts provides a lunch service program from Bon Appétit, an industry trendsetter who has received numerous awards for his unconventional approach to catering. The food is prepared daily with fresh ingredients using the finest ingredients, and the menu includes hot snacks, vegetarian, vegan, salad bar, drinks, snacks.
The CalArts Center for Life and Work provides a variety of resources for students and alumni to help them as artists chart their path to success and support future creative leaders. The center allows artists to unleash their creative potential through seminars, information sessions, and an extensive internship program.

The CalArts Student Union drives the flow of information about student needs - led by elected representatives from each of the six schools + leaders from other student groups. The organization provides students with an open forum where they can voice their opinions; contact the Board of Trustees, administration, teaching staff, staff. The union is responsible for awarding grants, funding projects / activities on campus. The organization seeks to unite students, contribute to the creation of an interdisciplinary, progressive, creative environment.
In addition to the campus, the Institute includes the Roy and Edna Disney Theater (REDCAT), the Los Angeles Performing Arts Center, the Community Arts Partnership (CAP), a collaborative youth arts education program with community organizations throughout Los Angeles County.
