Description of Academy of Social Management
The Academy is a state higher educational institution that provides training in the field of psychology, pedagogy, social sciences and humanities. The largest center for postgraduate training of teachers in the Moscow region. It has been operating since 2004.
Included in the TOP-100 universities of Russia according to RAEX.
The priority tasks of the Academy are:
- Personnel, methodological and scientific support of the education system of the capital region;
- Training and advanced training of personnel capable of managing social and educational processes in the Moscow region.
It performs the functions of a regional center for a community of experts in the field of education and science in the Moscow region. The Academy has established close ties with the government of the Moscow region, which is its founder.
More than 750 students are trained at the Academy, of which at least 60% are full-time. 2/3 of students study in areas related to the service and tourism segment and economic management, the remaining ones are approximately equally distributed in the areas of pedagogy (19%) and psychology (18.5%).
The main activity of the Academy is related to the retraining and advanced training of teachers: the number of students who have passed these programs exceeds 25 thousand people annually.
Training is conducted in Russian language.
The most important feature of the organization of studies within the walls of the Academy is the total involvement in the work of specialized centers, which allows in practice to study the problems that will have to be dealt with after obtaining a profession, and ways to solve it.
Students can take a course of study in one of 3 formats:
- Intramural
- full-time and part-time,
- extramural.
Bachelors, masters and postgraduates are being trained, there is a program of postgraduate education and retraining of pedagogical personnel.
Accommodation, meals, prices
Nonresident students and residents of the Moscow region can be accommodated in a comfortable hostel located five minutes from the academy and the metro station "Sviblovo", in a quiet and calm, green area.
The hostel is a five-storey building, in which reconstruction was carried out in order to create optimal conditions for students to live. Designed for 280 seats. The guys live in rooms of 2-3 people; the rooms are combined into apartment-type blocks, equipped with a bathroom and a toilet. On each floor there are two kitchens, and in the basement there is a laundry room with washing machines and dryers.
The residential block is connected to the educational building by an internal passage.
Advantages

- The Academy provides all conditions for the training of students with disabilities;
- STUDENTS of ASOU undergo practice and internship in the central and territorial structures of the government of the Moscow region and at partner enterprises from the 2nd year;
- The Academy occupies a leading position in the recruitment of foreign students among the universities of the Moscow region. As of 2021, students from 9 countries are trained at the educational institution;
- Students have the opportunity to train and undergo practical training on the basis of such organizations as Annex Tour (Turkey), American Best Getaways (USA), TanTur Tourism Seyahat A.S. (Turkey), Italstudia Training and Retraining Center (Italy), Golden Sphere LLC (Spain), Francestage Corporation (France) and others working in the field of tourism and leisure.
Organizationally it includes 9 departments and 7 centers for improving pedagogical skills and retraining of professional personnel. The university employs more than 300 teachers, of which 12 are candidates of science, 4 are holders of the degree of doctor of sciences.
At least 300 students are enrolled annually.
Facilities and equipment at Academy of Social Management
In the Academy for students are available:
- Dining room with three meals a day;
- Sports hall, open from 8:00 to 21:00;

- Library with Internet access, including subscription resources (East View, ATP "Consultant").
Entry requirements, how to apply, what is required to enrol
The Academy has a system of additional bonus points for applicants:
- for the presence of a gold TRP badge – 2 points;
- for the gold medal – 5 points;
- for a diploma of secondary vocational education with honors - 5 points;
- for volunteer activities – 3 points.
The applicant must provide the following documents:
- passport
- certificate or diploma of secondary vocational education (with appendix)
- certificate of the results of the Unified State Exam
Applicants to the direction "Pedagogical Education" also need a certificate on the form 086 / u.
