Yokohama National University (YNU) was founded in 1949 from Yokohama High School, an educational institution for continuing professional education teachers in Kanagawa Prefecture, Yokohama Graduate School of Commerce and Yokohama High School of Technology. Currently, the university offers 4 undergraduate courses (education and humanities, economics, business administration, engineering) and 4 - graduate programs (education, social sciences, engineering, environment and information sciences). The university employs over 1000 teachers and about 10,000 students. Since 2004, YNU has started a new life as a national university corporation, based on over fifty years of history and tradition.

Yokohama is a dynamic, bustling metropolis, Japan's gateway to the world, one of the country's first ports to open to international trade. Today the city has an international, cosmopolitan look.

Yokohama National University is one of the most selective educational institutions. Applicants take academic tests, provide certificates of knowledge of English / Japanese.

International students must complete a 12-year high school education, receive an International Baccalaureate, Abitur, GCE Advanced Level or equivalent.

Scholarships Yokohama National University

Yokohama National University will reduce tuition fees for international students with excellent academic performance and provide post-enrollment scholarships. The selection of scholars is based on academic performance: scholarships cover 100%, 50%, 30% of tuition fees.

Applicants submit an application for a scholarship, the validity period is two semesters in a row from the moment of admission. After that, the application is submitted every semester. The scholarship is awarded based on the academic performance of the applicant.
