Wenzhou Medical University (WMU) is a key university located in the People's Republic of China under the leadership of the Zhejiang Provincial Government. This educational institution was established on the basis of a specialized medical school.

Accommodation, meals, prices
To live in the PRC, foreign students will need a study visa.
WMU provides international students with an on-campus dormitory. Two people share a room with air conditioning, bathroom, TV, telephone, beds and necessary furniture, refrigerator, internet access, public laundry and kitchen. Students pay extra for electricity, water and internet, eat in the canteens of the campus and dormitories.

Currently, the university has about 66 student associations of various directions: creativity, science, sports, volunteering. WMU regularly hosts festivals, sports competitions, theatrical productions, musical concerts.

Facilities and equipment at Wenzhou Medical University
WMU has three campuses in the province, the main one is Chashan. Training takes place on the territory of 73 hectares, on which the following are located:

The University operates four hospitals:

Also in indirect management are 19 hospitals in the provinces of Wenzhou, Taizhou, Lishui, Cisi, etc.
Admission dates and extra charges
There are two semesters in the school year. The beginning of study depends on the time of admission:
Autumn reception:
- First semester: September – mid-January
- Second semester: March – mid-July.
Spring reception:
- First semester: March – mid-July
- Second semester: September – mid-January.
Exams are held at the end of each semester.
Students rest during calendar, national holidays:
- New Year:January 1-3:
- International Labour Day: 1-3 May
- Summer holidays: two months in July-August
- Mid-autumn holiday: September 15-18
- Independence Day: October 1-8
- Winter Break, Spring Festival: one month in February.

Entry requirements, how to apply, what is required to enrol
Minimum requirements for admission to the bachelor's degree:
- Certificate of secondary education – 12 classes, transcripts of courses taken
- Application for admission
- Health certificate (those entering the dentistry program must work with their right hand)
- Minimum 60% points in natural sciences: physics, biology, chemistry
- Certificate of knowledge of English.
Future masters, doctoral students will need to provide:
- Bachelor's degree, transcripts of courses taken
- Age – up to 35 years (for masters), up to 40 years (for doctoral students)
- Application for admission
- Two letters of recommendation from scientific supervisors
- Medical certificate of health
- Certificate of knowledge of English.
Acceptance of documents is conducted in September, March.

Based on academic success, students are paid monetary incentives. The sponsor of successful students is the Zhejiang Provincial Government.
