Victoria International Ballet Academy is an educational institution in Canada where students from all over the world can receive professional education in the field of choreography, as well as classical academic education.
The school bears the name of its founder, the Russian ballerina Victoria Mironova (Evdokimova). The actress graduated from the Russian Ballet Academy. More than 20 years Mironova was the ballerina of the Mikhailovsky Opera and Ballet Theater. In 2003, Viktoria Mironova moved to Canada, where she opened her ballet school. After another year, this educational institution was transformed into a unique private school for the country, combining a professional ballet institution and a general educational institution. Officially the school is registered by the Ministry of Education of the province of Ontario as the Academy of Science and Arts of Canada. The music course program is formed from several directions: it's vocals and playing in an ensemble or in a school orchestra. For each of the directions such classical subjects as instrumental play (as a soloist and as an accompanist), theory, solfeggio, musical history are studied. The vocal is used for performing the variety, harmony, vocal performance, ability to keep on stage. In the ensemble from the 2nd to the 6th grade and in the school orchestra from the 6th to the 12th grades children are engaged under the guidance of a professional conductor and musician. The repertoire will include classical works, jazz and other popular compositions: for example, the theme from the film "Star Wars", "Pirates of the Caribbean", etc. In addition to above instruments, the orchestra can play the clarinet, saxophone, trumpet, trombone, etc.
