Penn Law Pre-College Academy - 14-18 years old

The University of Pennsylvania Law School is one of the oldest and most selective law schools in the world. Admission to the course selectively, is based on the academic achievements of applicants. The decision on admission is taken by the leadership of the law school. The Penn Law Pre-College Academy is a rigorous academic program taught by university professors. Course objectives:

  • Introduction to the American Legal System
  • Understanding US Legal Practice
  • Study of laws on business, human rights, legal protection.

Studying helps future students to:

  • Develop communication, analytical and leadership skills
  • Create compelling arguments
  • Get a deep understanding of how the law is practiced in the real world
  • Create a solid foundation for success in the future career of a lawyer, businessman, diplomat, politician.

Through the study of fundamental legal issues, students form an understanding of the American legal system, develop legal thinking skills.

Program participants go through two additional modules on art and science. These disciplines are taught by UPenn specialists, take 2.5 hours a day, include evening readings, written assignments, group work.

Upon successful completion of the program, students receive a certificate of completion from UPenn, may receive letters of recommendation from teachers.

Penn Summer Prep Program - from 14-18 years old

The Penn Summer Prep program offers American, foreign students to study of a variety of academically rigorous modules that are taught at the undergraduate level. All modules are led by teachers UPenn. The non-credit nature of the courses allows students to focus on learning what really interests them and not on getting an assessment. As part of these preparatory modules, students gain a deep understanding of interdisciplinary topics, learn to think critically, to acquire analytical skills, and realize themselves as part of the global community.

The themes of the modules are carefully selected among the disciplines to reflect the width of the Penn curriculum. Each module is worked out for two and a half hours a day. Students must be prepared to devote time to study outside the classroom. Topics range from creative writing and media to environment and mathematics.
