The University of Kassel is a fairly young university with several campuses in Germany. The institution has prioritized interdisciplinary research, in which it is assisted by scientific cooperation with research institutions of the world.

This hostel is located on the outskirts of the Wilhelmshöher Allee campus, close to the city centre and the train station. The house has 24 living quarters, divided into four apartments, 20 single rooms. With single occupancy, students have their own shower, but the kitchen area is shared with neighbors. All rooms are fully furnished, connected to satellite TV. There is also a common lounge, laundry room with washing machines, dryers, parking spaces for bicycles. Rental fee: from 277 to 282€.

  • Hegelsbergstrasse 22B

Ten studio apartments are located in the quiet northern part of the city. Each of them can accommodate up to two tenants. The studios have cable, telephone connection, but are not furnished. From here, the Hollandischer Platz campus is about 2 km away and a tram stop can be reached in a few minutes. There are washing machines, dryers. Fee per person: 422-512€.

  • Hegelsbergstrasse 20/22/22A/24

The houses are located in the north of the city. The historic complex of buildings offers modern comfort for 129 students. Residents of 68 apartments have access to a garden in the courtyards, shared washing machines, dryers. The houses have both furnished and unfurnished rooms. Rent: 202-289€.

  • Kohlenstrasse 105

This student residence is located in the Velheiden district. It is equipped with: 115 beds, divided into 17 apartments, 32 rooms in double apartments, 66 - for general accommodation. Rooms are fully furnished and have satellite TV. On the ground floor there are two common rooms, a laundry room with washing machines, dryers. Fee per person: from 249 to 289€.

  • Ludwig-Mohr-Str.

The house is located in a quiet location near the city center. In the basement of the building there is a washing machine, dryer. All rooms are fully furnished, have telephone, television communication. Rent: 223-273€.

  • Max Kade Haus

The house of Max Kade is built in the heart of the campus in close proximity to the cafeteria, library, new lecture hall. The city centre is easily accessible on foot, but tram, bus and Nextbike bike rentals are within walking distance. All apartments are fully furnished and have cable TV. The house has a room for washing, drying, common rooms, elevator. Fee: 296-310€.

  • Mönchebergstrasse 21B

This building with 32 single apartments is located directly on the campus of Hollandischer Platz. All apartments are furnished, possibly cable, telephone connection. Rent: 300-308 €.

  • Moritzstrasse 24/26

This hostel, located on the outskirts of the Hollandischer Platz campus, offers accommodation with transport links, TV rooms. All 84 rooms are fully furnished, have cable TV, telephone communication. Basement boxes, washing machines, dryers are available to residents. Rent: 254-269€.

  • Naumburger strasse 13/15

The rooms accommodate 52 tenants who can use the garden behind the house. Some apartments have balconies. On the ground floor there are washing machines, dryers, as well as separate basements. Fee: 214-267€.

  • Nora-platiel-strasse 7/10, Аrnold-bode-strasse 4

150 beds, including six single apartments are wheelchair accessible. All rooms are fully furnished, there is cable TV, telephone communication. Washing machines, dryers, are available to residents. Rent: 260-270€.

  • Wolfhager strasse 12

The house with 72 living spaces is located diagonally opposite the Hollandischer Platz campus. The buildings are fully furnished, have a telephone connection. Rooms from the first to the fifth floor have their own basement. Fee per person: 258-305€.

This hostel is designed for 24 places in groups of 6 people. Mostly exchange students live here. All rooms are fully furnished. The house also has a laundry room with washing machine, dryer. A common room is available in the adjacent dormitory. Price: 233€.

The dormitory for 102 beds is located in the center of the campus opposite the outdoor pool. In addition to communal apartments, the house has single apartments. Cost: 228-275€.

  • Stubenstrasse 20

The historic sandstone building offers modern comfort for 18 residents. It is located in a quiet city center on the River Verra.
All premises are rented with furniture, cable, telephone connection. A TV room and a living room, a washing machine and a dryer, as well as a parking place for bicycles are common to residents. Rent: 238-251€.

  • Vor dem rabensberg 18

This house is located on campus, designed for five residential premises. Residents are united by a spacious kitchen-dining room, terrace. Rent: 243-263€.

Activities University of Kassel

Every year, more than 100 visiting scientists are engaged in research projects together with university teachers. Intensive German language courses and orientation programs are open for foreignstudents.

Sports sections conduct classes in 20 areas, creative studios develop vocal, theatrical, dance skills in students.

Regularly students organize thematic events, concerts, evenings of documentary films.

Facilities and equipment at University of Kassel

The university is located in six locations in Kassel: the central campus, several separate faculties, and a library. There are also the Center for International Studies, the Center for IT Services, the administration of the institution. The library building is the heart of the campus, providing access to approximately 1.9 million volumes, including 30,000 current periodicals, global electronic media.

Outside the city, the university buildings are located in Witzenhausen, Frankenhausen.

Upon admission, students receive a CampusCard, which allows them to enter any building of the university.

All applicants must provide a diploma with permission to study at the university: general qualification, qualification in a specific subject, qualification for admission to a technical college or pass an exam.
