Universite de Picardie Jules Verne is a higher education institution, part of the Academy of Amiens. It was formed in 1970 through the merger of the national medical and pharmaceutical schools, philological and legal schools, and university research college.
Jules Verne University today has 23,000 students (about 3,000 thousand of whom are foreigners), 11 faculties, 7 institutes, about 4,000 staff, 2 doctoral schools.
