33,870 Chinese students have applied for admission to UK higher education institutions through the UCAS system in 2025. In 2024, there were 30,860 of them.
British Universities' China Association shared data: in the academic year 2022-2023, 154,000 students from China received undergraduate higher education in the United Kingdom. This is 10% more than a year earlier. Experts suggest that this growth is facilitated by indicators such as:
- Pressure on foreign students in various countries from a financial point of view – increase in visa fees and prices for the courses themselves,
- Tightening immigration rules in the United States of America, Canada and Australia.
In total, 138,460 foreigners were admitted to British educational centers with the help of UCAS. However, this is still incomplete statistics, since the admission campaign continues.
