Humboldt-Institut is a rich variety of balanced German language programs for children, adolescents and adults. Courses are arranged in various institutions, in many cities of Germany and Austria: a tempting opportunity to combine training and travel, to choose the most interesting and attractive option. Based on your tastes and interests, you can choose to study in picturesque countryside, surrounded by bucolic landscapes, or prefer a historical center with museums, galleries, cozy streets, monuments of antiquity. Or maybe you prefer modern metropolitan areas, where life does not stop for a second?

Lenin is a small cozy town not far from Potsdam and Berlin. The population does not exceed 12 thousand people, so here is always a friendly, warm and chamber atmosphere. Lenin is surrounded by magnificent lakes and estuaries of rivers, picturesque forests and parks, and the main attraction is an old cathedral built more than 800 years ago.

Brief information: a language course of German will be an excellent choice for curious and active international students, ready for a fairly intense rhythm and a large number of classes. The main focus is on developing speech and communication skills, improving fluency and literacy of speech, developing vocabulary and improving pronunciation. 

All classes are conducted in an interesting game form:

  • Interactive discussions;
  • Dialogues;
  • Role-playing games.

About the educational program:

  • 25 language lessons per week;
  • Educational group - up to 10 teenagers;
  • Lesson duration - 45 minutes;
  • Minimum level of language for admission: Beginner;
  • Duration of the educational program: 3 weeks;
  • Dates of the program: from 3 to 23 July (arrivals on Sundays, departures on Saturdays).

Every day, students do their homework, and every week they have a big screening test. Educational staff help students and do their best for better educational process:

  • Closely monitor the level of progress of each student and mastery of the material;
  • If necessary adjust the curriculum;
  • Detailing the complex topics or language aspects.

Particular emphasis is placed on the development of communication skills in German. Students are waiting for a lot of interactive classes on the practice of oral speech. The course also involves daily homework.

Accommodation and food

Comfortable residences are built on the territory: the school staff are responsible for the safety of children around the clock and are doing everything possible to make students feel at home from the first days of their stay. Students at the Humboldt-Institut Berlin-Lehnin are provided with cozy rooms with private facilities for 2-4 people, the windows of which offer an impressive view of the lake surface or forest thicket. Most leisure activities and entertainment are already included in the cost of the Humboldt-Institut Berlin-Lehnin program. For children there are barbecues and campfires, walking or mountain biking, swimming in the lake, friendly games and matches (football, volleyball, ping-pong). Also, in your free time, you can do sculpture, painting or visit the studio of crafts.

A walk through local attractions, picnics and games by the lake (on average takes half a day) are usually held on wednesdays. The institute provides a long trip for the whole day on saturdays: most often it's Berlin or Potsdam.
