The standard program for learning German at the GLS Berlin Westend language school includes 20 academic hours each week, or 4 classes of 45 minutes each day. The course aims to give foreign students an idea of the German language and the cultural characteristics of the country as a whole. In addition to the academic part, the standard course of study includes a rather rich program of leisure and recreation for students.

The intensive German as a foreign language program at the GLS Berlin Westend language school includes 25 weekly hours of study, which is 5 lessons of 45 minutes each day. In general, the study program repeats the standard course of study, only on the intensive level there are more training hours. This gives students the opportunity to gain more knowledge and better learn the material received.

Accommodation, housing and food

For the period of the summer program, students live in a student residence on the school’s campus, where they are offered 2-bed rooms with a private bathroom (shower and toilet), furniture and other amenities. Pupils of the school eat full board: three times a day in the canteen on campus the guys get a balanced meal.

Academic classes in the language camp usually take place in the morning, and in their free time, students can relax with friends on campus or play sports:

In Berlin, the GLS language school has a central campus located west of the central part of the city, right next to the Olympic Stadium. This area has convenient urban logistics, so you can get from the campus to the center in just 20 minutes.

This is the only language school in Germany, which has a total area of 16 thousand square meters: up to 600 people can study at the same time. Facilities at the Berlin Westend campus include:

Adolescents from 14 to 17 years old who have a basic, elementary, intermediate or advanced level of German can enter the GLS Berlin Westend summer camp. The starting level of each student is determined on the first day of study with the help of special testing.
