Discover English

  • Age - from 12 to 17 years,

The summer English program is suitable for students with any level of linguistics. It aims to gain basic skills in classes that go well with a variety of excursions and activities.

The lessons contain an exploration of common topics such as the world around us and news articles. Students learn English through discussions and interactive activities: drawing, yoga, basketball, projects. The curriculum of the week-long program includes 15 hours of lessons in classes of up to 15 people, two half-day and full-day trips, evening activities on campus.

Upon completion of the training, the student:

Intensive English

  • Age - from 12 to 17 years,
  • The training period is from one to four weeks.

The Intensive English program is available to students of all skill levels.

Unlike other language courses, Intensive English includes lessons both in the morning and in the afternoon: 21 hours of lessons per week with qualified native speakers. This intensity will help students improve their reading and writing skills more effectively, better listen to speech and gain confidence in using English in everyday life. Despite the complex academic plan, students study in an easy, fun and interactive atmosphere - through communication with each other, intellectual puzzles, joint projects, discussion of personal interests.

Every week, students will attend not only language classes, but also participate in collective events on campus, sightseeing trips. In the afternoon, sports and creative events are organized, several times a week - a half- or full-day visit to Oxford, London, Cambridge.

Upon completion of the training, each student will receive a LinguaSkill Speaking qualification by passing the final exam.

Future Leaders Young MBA

  • Age - from 14 to 17 years,
  • The duration of training is two weeks,
  • The required level of knowledge is from B2.

This program specializes in introducing students to MBA degrees in business schools. The course is a "sampler" of the university program and offers 42 hours of lessons over two weeks. Students will be divided into groups of up to five people and busy working on projects, attending seminars and business tasks.

Examples of topics covered in the course are marketing, important qualities of an entrepreneur, public speaking, strategic thinking, business coaching. Classes will be taught not only by full-time teachers, but also by guest speakers, for example, Jacqueline Castin – Managing Director of Jackfruit Marketing & Fame with more than 20 years of experience and entrepreneurship.

The main skills that the student will receive at the end:

  • Spoken household and business English,
  • Vocabulary for everyday life, learning and business,
  • An idea of what it means to study for an MBA,
  • Teamwork.

The course concludes with the presentation of individual projects and an award ceremony.

Future Leaders: University Pathway

  • Age - from 14 to 17 years,
  • The duration of training is two weeks,
  • The required level of knowledge is from B2.

The university preparation program is aimed at helping students acquire important academic and personal skills: critical thinking, leadership, financial management, time management, and others.

The course is designed to help students get a general understanding of the education system in the UK, to understand the admission process. For two weeks, students will work on projects in small groups, attend a series of seminars and lectures from invited experts. The academic load will be 42 hours of study + about 40 hours of sports, creative events and excursions.

In the process of training, students will receive:

  • The basic skills and study strategies necessary for academic performance at the university,
  • Knowledge of the UK higher education system and the admission process,
  • A written application to the university,
  • Methods of expressing one's thoughts in English,
  • Skill in making presentations,
  • Skills of collaboration, critical thinking, creativity and communication.

At the end of the program, alumni will present their projects to a panel of judges, and the winning group will be inducted into the Hall of Fame.

IH Cambridge Summer Camp is a Cambridge center located at Murray Edwards College and offering summer courses for students from 12 to 17 years old. The institution is part of the University of Cambridge and home to the largest collection of women's art in Europe.

Students are offered programs for learning English, studying in which they can visit many attractions, gain important life skills and make friends. The curriculum of the courses covers several areas that change almost every lesson: world culture, environment, news, science and technology, society. Thanks to this, students will receive a rich vocabulary and knowledge of English in order to freely talk about many topics in everyday life.

Accommodation, meals, prices

Boys and girls are accommodated separately, in single and double rooms. Bathrooms in a part of the living spaces may be personal, but most residents use shared ones. Each room is equipped with the necessary furniture, bed linen and cleaning services once a week. There is also a laundry room with washers and dryers.

Students are provided with three meals a day in buffet format. Dishes are prepared according to a varied menu, which features cuisines from all over the world. If the student has special dietary or medical conditions for nutrition, the team of chefs will take this into account and provide an alternative menu.

Activities Cambridge Summer Camp for kids

Every evening, collective events are held on the territory: movie and board game evenings, intellectual quizzes, discos and culinary master classes, talent shows and many others. The extracurricular program is diversified by half-day or full-day excursions.

The summer school has a large landscaped area with modern infrastructure. Academic classes take place in large and bright classrooms, in open areas and off-campus. The center has many sports facilities:

The educational building also includes an art gallery and museum, which preserves Europe's largest collection of women's art.

The location of the school is ideal because the road to attractions and public places does not take much time. Near the campus there are cafes and restaurants, parks and walking areas, and the nearest Heathrow airport will be no more than an hour away.

The education in summer programs takes place during July and August. The duration of the course can be chosen independently: from one to four weeks.

The price includes academic classes, activities and excursions, accommodation and meals, necessary educational materials, entrance tickets on trips, escort of employees. Souvenirs and other personal expenses will require an additional fee.

Enrolment process

The admission process mainly takes place in an online format. Prospective students must fill out a registration form and provide the required documents, having received a positive response from the admissions committee, arrive on campus and pass the entrance language test. Students are divided into classes, settled in a residence and begin their studies.

Perspectives

Each graduate is given a certificate of completion of classes, containing progress in knowledge and recommendations of the teacher. This document will help students prove their language skills when applying to a school or college, when obtaining a long-term visa.

Entry requirements, how to apply, what is required to enrol

Admission to most programs is available to students with any level of English. Upon arrival, students pass an entrance test, according to the results of which they are divided into the most suitable groups. Admission to the Future Leaders: University Pathway and Future Leaders Young MBA courses is available only to those whose level of English is at least B2.

For enrollment, each foreign applicant must provide several personal documents translated into English:
