The school has all conditions for revealing talents of students. The school provides developed sports infrastructure. At school there are more than two dozen circles of creative direction. They are visited by students who are passionate about vocal, music, theatrical art, photography, poetry, design and applied art. Shawnigan Lake School's general education program provides for the study of compulsory and optional subjects. The list of disciplines includes subjects: mathematics, natural, social sciences, English, modern languages (Chinese, Spanish, French), physical education, art, planning and business. In total, the program offers 73 subjects.
Motivated and successful high school students can attend an advanced training course in 15 subjects of the AP program. Successful passing examinations in priority subjects increases the competitiveness of applicants when enrolling in the world's rating universities. At the university level, languages (English, Spanish, French), English literature, French culture, US history, EU countries, mathematical analysis, physics, chemistry, geography, biology, and studio art are taught at Shawnigan Lake School.
Students are offered accommodation in 9 residences. High school students live 3-4 people per room, high school students - 1-2. In general, residences have cozy living rooms, lounges, laundries and kitchens.
Boarding school students are provided with board meals. The Marion Hall serves daily Canadian, British, European cuisine. Also, the chefs of the school restaurant prepare national dishes of some oriental cuisines.
The Shawnigan Lake School campus covers an area of 300 acres. It is recognized as one of the largest in Canada and beautiful in the world. The campus includes academic buildings, residences, sports infrastructure, recreation areas and natural areas. The school also has a rich library with thousands of printed and electronic funds, a scientific center, computer classes, a theater studio with a chamber hall for 500 seats. There are several Wi-Fi points on the territory.
Sports infrastructure of the school is represented by 2 gyms, a fitness center, 4 squash fields, a golf course, a gym, several fields for playing football, rugby, field hockey. Also on the campus there are docks for kayaks, rowing boats, slipways.
