Shanghai Jiao Tong University School of Medicine(SJTUSM) is a public medical school formed by the merger of Shanghai Second Medical College and Shanghai Jiao Tong University in 2005. In November 2010, SJTUSM became one of the first ten universities jointly supported by the Ministries of Health and Education. Thanks to the long history of both parent universities, a leading research medical school was created with the rapid development of medical education, clinical and social services, scientific research.
SJTUSM Medical University is one of the fighters against the COVID-19 pandemic.
