The university provides four dormitories for nonresident full-time students. A total of 509 students can live in the buildings. The cost of living per month is from 600 rubles.

The education process is carried out in 12 buildings, equipped with classrooms for practical and lecture classes. Modern technologies are actively used in the classrooms: computers, projection screens, multimedia projectors, audio systems. 

Students have free access to five libraries with reading rooms for 148 seats.

For sports, the university has a sports complex with a shooting range and a gym, a football field, a volleyball court, a streetball court, a badminton court and a ski and hockey complex.

At NGIEU, the learning process is divided into two semesters: autumn and spring. At the end of each, an examination session is held, after passing the students, they are given vacations (in winter in January, in summer in July and August).
