Myerscough College of Further and Higher Education is located near Billersbow in Field, Lancashire, England. Myerscough College was founded in 1894 as the Agricultural Institute, although the initiative to establish a college to help local agriculture was first introduced as early as 1890. Initially, the college was located on a farm near the village of Hutton south of Preston, and it moved to its current location in 1969, and Queen Elizabeth II participated in the opening ceremony of one of the academic buildings.

In 2006, the college became the filming location for the popular BBC Gardeners television program Christina's Garden, which contributed to a significant increase in its popularity. In 2017, a partnership agreement was reached between the college and the University of Central Lancashire, under which the university validates the college's diplomas.

Currently, more than 7000 students are studying at the college, of which 2500 are full-time, including more than a thousand in higher education programs.

Myerscough College covers a significant area from St. Michael's Street to the River Brock - subsidiary farms, and educational estates of the college occupy an area of over 610 hectares, on campus there are several spacious student residences with a total capacity of over 1000 students.

Myerscough College offers more than fifty professional and higher education programs in such areas as forestry, animal husbandry and crop production, landscape design, mechanization, ecology and nature management, photography, metalworking and blacksmithing, sports and recreation, golf.

In addition to access to full-text databases and numerous online resources, a number of local and national newspapers, more than 35 thousand books and dozens of sets of specialized scientific journals in various languages, including Chinese, are available here.

The Myerscough library is considered one of the best specialist libraries not only in the UK, but also in Europe as a whole. In addition, students of higher education programs can use the services of the Lancashire County Library Service and the University of Central Lancashire Library.

To apply for education, you must:

• Choose the program and subject area in which you want to study, the course and the appropriate center (if necessary, the admissions committee can offer a program and course based on the results of the interview);
• Register the application, provide the necessary documents and information (transcript of the most recent school report, certificate and/or other academic records);
• Interview online or during an in-person visit to the college.

Applications are processed as they become available, so applications should be submitted as early as possible.

To enroll, applicants must have the necessary qualifications and demonstrate sufficient results in exams. Applicants are expected to demonstrate a sufficiently high level of English (at least B1 or B2, corresponding to 4.5-5.5 IELTS).

Applications for continuing or higher education, part-time or distance learning courses can be submitted online or during a personal visit to the college.

Applicants for a place are expected to pay 50% of the course fee prior to applying for a visa, and the remaining funds for the first year will be paid by September 1 of the academic year.

The college offers a wide range of opportunities to reduce tuition fees for various categories of students. Welsh, English, Scottish and Northern Ireland support programmes are available to British nationals, respectively. Foreign students have the right to count on scholarships based on the criteria of need, on scholarships for merit.

In addition, the college provides education through targeted recruitment programmes for employers (both UK and international).

Need-based scholarships can be applied by applicants or students whose total family income is less than 35 thousand pounds per year. The size of the scholarship depends on the capabilities of the college - usually it is 2-4 thousand pounds. Funds can be used for:
