The entrant must complete the basic course of secondary school (senior classes, ideally the High School program) with a minimum GPA score of 2.5 (not lower).
This program is the fastest and easiest, most effective and reliable way to American universities, especially for international students. After completing a two-year course at Marymount, you will be able (if successful) to enroll in 3-4 bachelor's programs at the selected university: thus obtaining a degree in the US will take no more time than the "classical" entry. Only in California there are more than 300 colleges and universities, many of which support this program in multiple directions.

The program allows students from anywhere in the world (age 16 years old) to pass the high school program and start their way to a degree in the American university. In general, the course is based on the framework of the Undergraduate Preparation Program, but includes more academic modules. A special program is designed for effective preparation for undergraduate students at US universities. This course develops intellectual and linguistic abilities and skills, provides an opportunity to obtain valuable academic skills necessary for American universities. The minimum duration of studying is 1 semester, the full duration of the program depends on the initial level of student preparation, its academic needs and requests. In the process of teaching, students work in small groups (so that the teacher can give each individual the right amount of individual attention). For accommodation of pupils the beautiful comfortable and recently repaired residence San Pedro is provided: it is a complex of cozy two-storeyed mansions (townhouses), completely equipped with necessary furniture and equipment (78 houses in total). All cottages include bedrooms for rest, kitchens with the necessary household appliances and tools, a common living room and even a garage. There is also a patio for outdoor recreation. There are apartments for 4 and 7 people, there are also single rooms (a small amount, available upon prior reservation). The whole territory is guarded around the clock, free access to Wi-Fi is provided.
The rooms are mostly designed for 2-3 people (minimum age for living is 16 years, meals are usually organized on a half board basis). Each room has a bed and a comfortable workplace with a desk, access to Wi-Fi and a wardrobe for clothes and personal belongings. Students maintain cleanliness and order themselves. You also need to bring your bedding and linen to the residence.
A large number of group excursions are organized for students - the Los Angeles region is very rich with interesting places for visits, cultural monuments: no student will give up the photo on the background of the famous Hollywood inscription! The groups go to Catalina Island, Santa Barbara and San Diego for the weekend, to the largest American winemaking region - the Napa Valley, to go on mountain skiing (Big Bear). You can visit the cinema "Kodak", where the Oscar film award is traditionally held, go to the Universal studio or to Disneyland, a huge aquarium on Long Beach, the famous Beverly Hills area. There are lectures, master classes and meetings with interesting speakers: representatives of large international corporations, professors and professionals from various fields come to the campus to share their experience with students.
There are always various leisure and entertainment events - for example, active Angels games are held. It is interesting to visit to a variety of art museums, Getty galleries, LACMA, a large observatory in Griffith Park.
A sufficient number of spacious, fully equipped classes and lectures with large windows have been prepared on the campus for pupils - all rooms are bright and cozy, equipped with interactive whiteboards. The students have a huge library, numerous sports fields and grounds, a private pool, a spacious gym, several cafeterias and a cozy area for meetings and snacks, picnics in the open air. Students have access to the laundry and common lounge, shops with soft drinks, sweets and snacks are located directly on the territory. For the convenience of the students, there is a free bus service: the shuttles regularly run between the main building of Oceanside and the San Pedro residence.
