The University was founded on August 8, 2001 on the initiative of the FJCR President A.M. Boroda and the Chief Rabbi of Russia Berel Lazar in order to observe Jewish traditions when receiving specialized education. The main principles of studying at the university remain a high level of professionalism and integration with Jewish tradition.
The founder of the university is the Religious Organization of Orthodox Judaism - the Moscow Maryinoroschina Jewish Community.
Educational process
The educational process of the university is carried out according to curricula and programs in accordance with the schedule of the educational process. Schedules of the educational process reflect all types of educational activities for each semester with an indication of the timing of the implementation of theoretical training, practices, exams, holidays.

On the territory of the university there are all the necessary premises for cooking and eating. The university has concluded contracts for the provision of catering services: theyare provided with regular healthy, kosher and environmentally friendly three meals a day.

The University organizes for its students excursions to historical places of Russia and visits to museums in Moscow. Also, university students are involved in participating in community events dedicated to the celebration of all traditional holidays, in citywide and sports events.

The university has two full-fledged campuses within walking distance from metro stations, equipped with everything necessary for comfortable living, studying and leisure. Campuses have a fenced area and round-the-clock professional security with video surveillance.
In buildings at the following addresses: Otradnaya Street, 6. and Oleniy Val St., 3, bld.1 there are 48 classrooms with a total area of about 1930 sq. m. Classrooms are equipped with technical means (audio equipment, acoustic amplifiers and speakers, headphones, video equipment, multimedia projectors, TV).
On the campuses of the university there are laboratories equipped with modern high-performance equipment (for example, an economic research laboratory), an advertising and design studio, a course and diploma design room, a courtroom, a forensic laboratory and others.
For software classes at the university are equipped with modern computers with everything necessary three computer classes.
The library of the university contains more than 10,000 copies of educational and scientific literature, spacious reading rooms in each of the campuses. Also, university students are given access to two electronic libraries. High-speed unlimited Internet access is available in all areas of the university, including the dormitory.
The university has created conditions for students and applicants with disabilities: the entrances to the university campuses are equipped with stationary ramps for wheelchairs, and in some classrooms and toilets extended doorways are installed.
The University has concluded an agreement with Spartak Stadium LLC, in the sports and gyms of which physical culture and sports classes of students, extracurricular sports events of teachers and employees are held.
The university has a medical office for first aid and health protection of students and employees; medical care for injuries, acute and chronic diseases; implementation of therapeutic, preventive and rehabilitative measures
Admission dates and extra charges
The academic year includes two semesters:
- Autumn: September – January,
- Spring: February – June.
After each semester, students take a session. Holidays for students are organized in winter and summer.

Together with the application in Russian language for admission to study, the applicant provides the following documents:
- Document on complete secondary education (or other document on education);
- Passport;
- Passport data of one of the parents;
- SNILS for citizens of the Russian Federation;
- Medical certificate (form No 286 or No 086);
- Photo 3×4 (matte, 2 pieces);
- Document of military registration (for male citizens of the Russian Federation who have not reached the age of 27);
- Contract for training (2 pieces);
- Application of consent to enrollment;
- Application for admission to entrance examinations;
- Application for recertification of disciplines;
- Application for cost reduction;
- Document confirming disability;
- A document confirming that the applicant is the winner or prize-winner of the final stage of the All-Russian Olympiad for schoolchildren;
- A document confirming the presence of individual achievements in accordance with Part IV of the Rules of Admission to the Hebrew University.
Documents made in a foreign language must be translated into Russian.
The applicant can send to the university the documents necessary for admission in the following ways:

The deadline for accepting the application for admission to training and the documents attached to the application is no later than June 20. The university can conduct additional admission for vacant places within the deadlines established by it. Admission to study is completed no later than December 31.
