Financial University under the Government of the Russian Federation is one of the leading and oldest higher educational institutions in Russia, established in 1919 as the Moscow Institute of Finance and Economics (MFEI).
It educate highly qualified economists, financiers, political scientists, philosophers, lawyers in 13 bachelor's programs, 14 areas of master's degree, 16 main areas of secondary vocational education, 72 courses of pre-professional education and 338 specializations of advanced education.

The hostel is provided to all students living outside the Moscow Ring Road. The student can choose the type of accommodation in one of the blocks with a price for the month:

- Room type (1 building) – 1150-2130р.
- Apartment type (2 buildings) – 1850-1900р.
The living quarters are fully furnished, the kitchen and bathrooms are shared on the floor. The price includes utilities.
The university does not provide meal plans, the dining room works.

Admission dates and extra charges
Education is conducted for two semesters per year with summer and winter sessions. The university smoothly moves from a linear form of education to a modular one. There are usually 6-8 pairs per day, the beginning of classes is 8:30. Each pair lasts 1.5 hours.

Applicants entering the bachelor's degree should register on the official website of the university and provide the following documents:

- Certificates of Olympiads, competitions, individual achievements, giving a special right to enroll
- Certificate of secondary education with a scorecard
- Results of the Exam.
Each applicant must pass entrance tests in three subjects:
- Russian
- mathematics
- the main subject of the chosen direction.
For applicants to the magistracy will require:
- Passport of a citizen of the Russian Federation
- Insurance certificate of compulsory pension insurance

- Bachelor's degree, transcript
- Summary: individual achievements.
Future masters will have two entrance exams in the leading disciplines of the chosen program.
