MAOU OTS "Gornostay" is a municipal autonomous educational institution of Novosibirsk, which opened in 1992. The founder of the gymnasium was the municipality of Novosibirsk. Thanks to the successful results of its activities, the school received the status of a supporting school of the Russian Academy of Sciences.
The history of the institution includes several stages:
- December 17, 2001: obtaining accreditation for the status of "Gymnasium No. 6" Ermine "
- September 2003: merger with school No. 163 with HeTs and the creation of MAOU gymnasium No. 6
- April 2015: obtaining the status of "Education Center - Gymnasium No. 6" Ermine "
- May 2016: a preschool department appears in the gymnasium.

Entry requirements, how to apply, what is required to enrol
Applications for admission to school are accepted from February 1 to June 30 of the current year. The application is submitted on behalf of the parents (or legal representative) upon presentation of a passport of a Russian or foreign citizen. The application form indicates the personal data of the parent (or representative) and the child. Upon admission to first grade, a birth certificate is additionally provided. For foreign citizens, all documents must have a translation into Russian.
Upon admission to the department of high school, a secondary school certificate is added to the list of documents.
