General German course

Brief information: An educational course for international students 17+ to improve general language skills, gain confidence in speaking German in a language environment.

About the educational course: The standard German course in the school is available in the following versions:

  • 20 lessons per week, duration of study not less than 1 week;
  • 24 lessons per week, minimum 1 week of the course.

The program is based on the study of grammatical structures of German, general vocabulary. Lessons are held in interactive format and provide for an active communication between students and the teacher. Scientific, cultural, social and political topics are offered for discussion. The communicative method of teaching contributes to the rapid and effective development of general language skills.

Starting dates of the educational program: Every Monday.

Admission requirements: Language level - not lower than beginner.

The result of the educational program:

  • Improvement of spoken German;
  • Vocabulary replenishment;
  • Development of grammatical accuracy;
  • Fluency Speech.

Educational group: up to 15 people.

Quick overview: The educational program allows international students to effectively prepare for a language test to confirm the level of German proficiency.

About the educational course:

  • Duration of the course - from 4 to 8 weeks;

Within the framework of the program, students spend at least 4 academic hours a day studying German. In the classroom they develop:

  • Practice grammar exercises. 

The course also provides for the development of other standard exam tasks. Particular attention is paid to the achievement of accuracy in syntax and grammar, the perception of written German and the language by ear, practical communication.

The result of the educational program:

  • Increasing the level of German possession to C1 or C2;
  • Passing the exam;
  • Obtaining the TestDaF certificate.

Business German

Brief information:The educational course to expand vocabulary, acquire experience in conducting presentations, negotiations in German. 

The educational program provides for the development of general language skills:

  • Grammar;
  • Reading;
  • Writing. 

The curriculum of the course is compiled individually for each student. The duration of the program is 1 week or more.

Academic schedule:

  • 20 lessons per week;
  • 25 lessons per week.

Lesson duration: 45 minutes.

Learn German online with native speakers in groups or individually. Intensive from 20 to 28 lessons per week.

Courses are held during a pandemic.

For classes you will need to install the Zoom program on your computer.

After registration, a school representative will contact you, test your language level and discuss your goals. Then it will identify you in the appropriate group.

Description of DID Deutsch-Institut Berlin Language School

DID Deutsch-Institut Berlin Language School is one of the most famous language schools in the German capital. The language center is located near the main trade arteries of the city. From the educational building on Novalisstrasse there are few minutes walk to Berlin's main square, the tourist promenade Oranienburger Strasse with the best bars, restaurants, shops of the city and several notable galleries. Also in walking distance from the school there are main sights of the capital: the Reichstag and the Brandenburg Gate.

Studying at DID Berlin School is an excellent opportunity to not only improve German for personal, career, academic purposes, but to combine studying language with exploring the capital of Germany. Each international student will be able to get acquainted with history of the city and country, cultural attractions of Berlin, local traditions, original cuisine.

Accommodation, meals, prices

The school offers three options for accommodation:

  • In a family (single or double room, half board or breakfast, full immersion in a linguistic, cultural environment);
  • In the residence. Several objects are offered. Pension Bärlin organizes budget accommodation (1-2-bed rooms with or without conveniences, self-catering). Standard accommodation is provided in hotel. Students are offered 1-2-bed cozy rooms with private facilities. Meals - breakfast (buffet). Accommodation at the Meininger is a superior level. It offers 1-2-bed rooms with TV, telephone, facilities, air conditioning, free access to the Internet (in public areas of the hotel). Meals - breakfast.
  • In the apartment. Students are offered one-room studios in two houses in the center of Berlin. Apartments are furnished, equipped with modern bathroom (shower), kitchenette. The studios are divided into standard and enhanced comfort. Meals are not provided.

Subjects, specialties

Activities DID Deutsch-Institut Berlin Language School

1 excursion and 2 entertaining activities (included in the tuition fee) are offered weekly to students of all courses at the school. Among entertainment quite popular are:

  • Themed meetings; 
  • Barbecue;
  • Discos.

During excursions students can get acquainted with main sights of Berlin (architectural, cultural, other), go to Potsdam, famous for its majestic castles, palace complexes and an outstanding political history.
