Embassy English language school in Portsmouth

The center is located next to the seafront at Portsmouth University, within walking distance of the city center, close to the historic shipyard and Clarence Pier. The language school offers modern amenities, comfortable single rooms with bathrooms, spacious facilities for spending leisure time with other students. The program opens up many opportunities for exploring the history of Portsmouth and all its modern possibilities.

All students live in single rooms in the Rees Hall: the rooms have a wardrobe, a desk and a chair. Rooms and bathrooms are cleaned weekly, common areas are cleaned every other day, bed linen is changed weekly. Laundry is available at the residence for free. Wi-Fi - throughout the campus.

Students receive meals in the dining room located in Rees Hall:

• A continental and hot breakfast (depending on the day) includes juice, coffee, toast, cereal and fruit.
• Lunch and dinner are served on the 2nd menu, which includes 3 options of dishes, including vegetarian and halal.
• Packed lunches are available on weekends: water, fruits, a sandwich, chips and cookies.
• There are several shops nearby for snacks, drinks and pastries.

Events are organized every evening after or between classes, are held on campus or near the center.

• Sports (football, mini-olympiad, round tables, table tennis, volleyball, basketball)
• Daytime and evening events: workshops on drama, karaoke, talent shows, team games.

Tours include:

• Half day trips (Gunwharf Quays, Isle of Wight and Arundel Castle, walks around Portsmouth and the surrounding area)
• All-day trips (London, Oxford, Brighton, Thorpe Park, Salisbury and Stonehenge).

• 14-day English programs include 8 walks with local sightseeing, 2 half-day trips to nearby cities, areas, and two full-day excursions to London, Brighton or Oxford. For travel, students use private buses or public transport.
• On the first evening, a welcome event is held to introduce students and camp staff. Here, students learn more about the campus and its capabilities, receive useful information that will help them during their stay in the center.
