Summer programs of the Emerald Culture Institute, which are held from July 3 to 11 August at the famous boarding school Cobham Hall International, accept students from around the world aged 11 to 17 years. This is a great opportunity to improve the level of English and develop personal communication skills, to find new friends from around the world and to have fun. In addition to its entertaining function, the rich leisure program also helps the learning: it is an excellent chance to practice the classroom skills in a comfortable, free and informal atmosphere, as well as the opportunity to learn more about the culture, history, traditions of the UK, to get acquainted with its historical and architectural monuments,  to better understand the unique national mentality.

The prestigious Cobham Hall International, founded in the 16th century, is located in the county of Kent, one of the largest and most developed, picturesque counties in the UK - it is often called the "Great English Garden" due to the huge amount of greenery, lawns, gardens and shady groves.

The program Multi-activity

The summer combined English course is aimed at a comprehensive, rapid increase in the language level: the program combines English lessons and a rich leisure program that will make the summer of schoolchildren truly unforgettable. Permanent language practice, full immersion in the English-speaking environment and the international atmosphere help to intensify the learning process, allowing in a few days to overcome the language barrier and learn not only to speak, but also to think in English.

The leisure program has not only an entertaining but also a learning function: in a friendly and unobtrusive manner, students will be able to better understand especially the British mentality, traditions and culture, the history of Great Britain, get acquainted with the outstanding monuments of culture, art and architecture of this amazing country

The minimum duration of the program is 1 week, the standard intensity of the lessons is 15 hours weekly (1 lesson = 60 minutes). The most purposeful and persistent students can choose a more intensive program (20-25 lessons per week): there will be less time for entertainment and excursions, but the language progress will be more tangible and quick.

Before the beginning of the classes, all students receive a welcome information package, as well as perform the tasks of the introductory testing: it determines their initial level of preparation and distributes them according to the level of knowledge. Each student during the course fills out the personal Emerald Project Book & Journal: it covers the topics covered and the academic successes achieved, a list of visited places and attractions, favorite electives and sections, participation in all activities. At the end of the program the students will be waited with a farewell party, the receiving of brand name certificates and memorable souvenirs. All the necessary books and manuals are already included in the course price.

Each week there is a minimum of 1 full day excursion, and every evening during the week on campus there are fun activities where every student can take part and show their talents.

Conversation & Speaking Skills

An intensive course is designed for those who want to achieve fluency in formal and informal speech. In the morning hours, students attend English classes aimed at improving all language skills (reading, writing, speaking, listening). In the afternoon, students go through an elective that helps them to focus on speaking skills and academic style.

Accommodation, housing and food

Students of the summer camp live in comfortable residences on the Cobham Hall International campus: they are cozy private and double rooms (shared dormitories for 3-4 people are provided), bathrooms can be either in the room or shared (located on the floor). Boarding meals - three times a day students gather in a spacious common dining room. The diet is varied and balanced, fully meets the needs of the young organism. There is free access to Wi-Fi, there are cozy common living rooms for recreation, communication and table games. Children are monitored around the clock by educators and teachers: they guarantee complete safety of students, monitor the observance of cleanliness, order and discipline, help with the solution of various issues. Access to the campus and residence is available only by the digital code, which each student receives individually.

The total area of ​​Cobham Hall International reaches 150 acres of well-groomed, green territory: only 20 minutes - and you are already in the center of London, and a direct train to Paris takes place, which takes less than 2 hours! Heathrow and Gatwick International Airports can be reached in 60 and 40 minutes respectively.
