On the basis of the famous, prestigious and popular University of Royal Holloway in summer and spring, exciting and effective vacation courses are available to students from around the world aged 10 to 17 years. Students can enter the class at any level of English: even if you have never studied English before, the teachers will select an effective suitable program for you.
The campus of the summer camp is located in Surrey near London (the nearest city is Enham, you can get to the capital in about an hour - only 30 kilometers). You can get to Heathrow International Airport in just 20 minutes, before Gatwick - in 45 minutes, to Stansted - in about an hour. Summer program is provided for international pupils of 13-17 years (Standard Program) and for international students of 10-12 years (Tigers Program). The main attention is paid to the development of speech, communication skills, pronunciation correction and vocabulary expansion so that the child can communicate freely and confidently in English in any situation and with any interlocutor.
In the process of teaching, unique teaching aids and books specially developed for summer short-term programs by Oxford International Education Group (specially designed for foreign students) are used. Classes are taught on textbooks, special workbooks, a list of additional literature for extracurricular reading is provided, a list of additional materials, if necessary. Teachers strive for any new word, expression and rule to be given in the language context, in connection with other linguistic means: thus the process of memorizing is easier and more effective.
The curriculum also includes thematic lessons about British culture, history, traditions, art and architecture, sports and cuisine. Every week, there are control tests and a repetition of the passed: if necessary, the teacher can quickly adjust the curriculum and once again explain the complex moments and aspects to children.
Students with any level of English can register for a summer language program: from A1 (basic, initial - Beginner) to C2 (free, advanced - Proficiency). The intensity is 15 academic hours weekly: 9:00-13:00 and 14:00-17:30. Those interested can additionally prepare for the Trinity exam (fluency in conversational English) and pass it at the end of the course, having received the company certificate.
Groups of students include up to 16 people. The curriculum is also assisted by extra-curricular, leisure activities: all of them are conducted in English, so that students can practice their knowledge in an informal, friendly environment.
Pupils of summer programs live directly in the territory of Royal Holloway College: for them are opened spacious and comfortable residences New Halls, Reid, Runnymede. Students are provided with cozy, fully furnished rooms for 1-3 people with private facilities (kitchens and living rooms for recreation are common), equipped places for training. Bed linen is provided (changed weekly); For a small fee (2-3 pounds sterling), you can use the laundry and drying (accompanied by the team leader).
The territory is fully guarded, carefully and round the clock - the comfort and safety of children is guaranteed in 24/7 mode. The campus is well equipped for a fun and diverse pastime for children and effective language training.
