The International Baccalaureate (IB) is one of the most well-known and longest-running systems of international education. The IB program was created in Switzerland in 1968 and is currently taught in about 3,000 schools in about 140 countries around the world. The International Baccalaureate system is based on a student-centered approach to learning, led by experts and emphasizing creativity and critical thinking skills.

The IB was originally created as an alternative response to the lack of flexibility in other global school systems. Today, the IB education system is valued and recognized in almost all countries, most major educational institutions in the United States and other countries confirm the fact that students who have received IB diplomas become promising and competitive specialists in the modern labor market.

The International Baccalaureate is a curriculum consisting of four educational stages offered successively to children from 3 to 19 years old.

When choosing schools with IB, we recommend considering the following criteria:

  • Number of graduates of the school with an IB diploma,
  • Criteria for admission to the IB program,
  • Overall level of output,
  • The percentage of graduates who go on to go on to colleges or universities,
  • Amount of time in IB school status.
