Of the local features, it is worth noting the focus on learning two languages from an early age: the canton is part of the French-speaking region of Switzerland, therefore, in elite schools they teach in French and English. At the end of the sixth year - Ecole Primaire - students go to the middle classes of the following types:

  • A - with the standard number of students in the class
  • B - with a reduced set, if the student's grades are in the range 3.5-3.0
  • C - small classes for children with high academic results.

Cycle d'orientation is provided just so that students can decide on their future profession and choose an educational institution in accordance with their interests.
