-
Theory of Knowledge is compulsory discipline, which combines a wide array of disciplines and practical application skills.
If students are planning to enroll in colleges with IB certificate, experts recommend to devote 150 hours to develop creative skills, sports and charitable activities, concerning environmental protection, charitable aid.

During studies students can earn additional three points, if they prepare an excellent thesis and a project on the Theory of Knowledge. The maximum score in the Diploma program is 45 points, the minimum score for obtaining IB diploma is 24 points.
However, certain actions of a student, such as refusal to participate in the Creative, Action, and Service (CAS) program or plagiarism, may be reasons for denial of awarding a diploma, no matter their points.
There are certain conditions for obtaining a Diploma, despite possible failures in any discipline: passing of exams in languages, also the fulfillment of other additional course requirements. If these conditions are met, the graduate will be awarded a Bilingual Diploma.
The student has the right to study not the entire list of required subjects and may refuse to participate in some of the compulsory school events, not attend a course in the Theory of Knowledge, or not write a thesis. In this case, the student will not receive a Diploma, but he will be issued a certificate with the results of his success in each of the subjects studied. Such a certificate is nothing more than a statement of payment by a student for exams and a statement of grades with the results of these exams. Such a certificate is issued to all students at the end of the course.
