In Spain at the moment there is no such possibility. Now only the UK offers one of the parents a Parent of a Child at school, which allows them to stay with the child on a regular basis. This visa is issued for a year, then it can be re-done if the child continues to study. One of the parents can apply for this type of visa if the child is under 12 years old.
