Austrian schools focus on practical skills and offer in-depth study of additional subjects or to master a specialty in high school. Some schools focus on learning as many languages as possible: in elementary school, children study English and German, in the 5th grade they choose an additional language - French or Latin. In addition to linguistic training, students study natural sciences and IT. In the elementary grades, the program may include lessons on musical instruments - the children themselves choose the instrument and study twice a week.
