XCL World Academy is a school that offers continuing education in the academically strong and challenging International Baccalaureate (IB) program and several national programs in the United States and the United Kingdom. Here, students have the opportunity to go all the way through school from kindergarten to the end of grade 12. Completion of training will be one of three diplomas:
- International Baccalaureate Diploma (IB Diploma),
- A high school diploma accredited by WASC and equivalent to a high school diploma in the United States (High School Diploma)
- Diploma of the American program with AP qualification.
The approach to educating students is based on the development of inquisitive, knowledgeable and caring young people motivated for personal and academic success. The IB program provides students with strong advantages by developing their critical thinking skills, interest in the world around them, and the ability to solve complex problems.
The teaching staff includes strong, experienced and qualified teachers, each of whom is focused on the personal and intellectual abilities of students. Students receive enough individual attention to reveal their abilities and achieve academic heights.
Educational process
International students whose first language is not English are provided with additional EAL courses. Classes are included in the price of the program for students in grades 9-12, and children in the junior and middle departments attend lessons for an additional fee.
The language program is based on the individual characteristics of each child and is aimed at developing speaking, speech and auditory skills. Training lasts from 6 to 12 months and is organized several times a week.
Things to know about
The staff and teachers of the institution regularly hold meetings with the parents of students: at these events, families can ask questions about the learning process, extracurricular circles and leisure activities, about the future career and academic characteristics of their child.
