Conversations about extremely smart neural networks on the Internet are starting more and more often, because these programs are able to perform tasks that a person could not imagine before. One of them is the ChatGPT neural network, a program developed by the American company OpenAI. It is able to perform many tasks that were previously performed by young programmers who have just received a diploma and got a first job. The technology can write code, write meaningful texts, come up with website screens for layout and even compose poems.
What kind of neural network is this?
ChatGPT is a language model that is constantly learning to understand new information and generate texts. The network collects all the requests that users have entered into it before, processes, remembers the rules of languages, stable expressions, jokes and even syntax, studies thousands of texts and issues new ones based on old requests. The more users "communicate" with ChatGPT, the smarter and more developed it becomes, learning to perform new tasks.
Already now the functionality of the neural network is extensive:
- generation of news from the world of technology, entertainment, politics and sports;
- colorful description of dishes and their composition so that the user wakes up his appetite;
- creation of poems, poetry, plays, prose and even scripts for small cartoons or movies, for youtube and TikTok videos;
- drawing up a well-thought-out content plan for video bloggers;

- programming in different languages. If you ask ChatGPT to write code, for example, a calculator, the network will instantly write it.
What can't ChatGPT do?
Despite the fact that the machine is constantly evolving and learning new things, it cannot cope with a whole list of tasks:
- comprehension and creation of texts on scientific topics or in narrow specialties. ChatGPT will not understand the lyrical hero of Morgenstern's songs and will not be able to create instructions for a laser microscope;
- understanding of jokes, sarcasm and irony;
- handling inaccurate queries and reading hints. If the user asks to perform a neural network task without specifics, it is likely to make a mistake and will not do what the "interlocutor" meant;
- depicting emotions and feelings with text messages.
How do I chat with ChatGPT?
A user fcan find a link to a neural network in a browser, but registration with it will be more difficult than for foreigners. The machine itself is free, and you can use it indefinitely.
Queries in ChatGPT can be written in English. For each topic of discussion, the user should create a new chat, because the technology remembers the first topic and adheres to it throughout the dialogue.
Will this neural network replace programmers?
Experts and the neural network itself argue that this technology will not be able to completely displace programmers from the labor market. In a few years, ChatGPT will perform all simple tasks for a person, but programmers will be able to retrain as the operator of this network and keep their place of work - or already improve their skills and professionalism in order to be smarter and more valuable than the machine.
